Nestlé Nigeria expands market reach with new kiosk at ojo bus terminal
Nestlé Nigeria has strengthened its consumer accessibility drive with the launch of a new Nescafe kiosk at Ojo Bus Terminal in Ibadan, as part of efforts to bring its beverage offerings closer to Nigerians in high-traffic locations.
The initiative, unveiled at the bustling transport hub in Oyo State, is designed to serve commuters, drivers and traders who begin their daily activities early at the terminal.
Speaking on the development, the bus terminal manager, Adisa Olumide, said the presence of the Nescafe kiosk has improved convenience for passengers and transport operators.
“Having Nescafe available right here in the terminal has added real value to the daily experience of commuters and operators. Passengers can now access quality coffee without leaving the park, and the feedback has been very positive,” he said.
Nestlé Professional Channels Manager, Ibraheem Awelenje, explained that the project reflects the company’s commitment to delivering quality beverage solutions to consumers wherever they are.
According to him, the activation aligns with the brand’s vision of supporting Nigerians with convenient refreshment options that fit into their fast-paced routines.
The kiosk currently serves Nescafe 3-in-1 Original and Nescafe Classic, with plans to expand offerings to include other beverages such as Milo.
Nestlé also disclosed that the outlet is operated under its My Own Business (MYOWBU) entrepreneurship scheme, aimed at empowering small business operators. The kiosk has created two direct jobs while providing ongoing training in hygiene and business management.
The operator of the kiosk, who has worked within the MYOWBU ecosystem for over ten years, described the opportunity as a major milestone.
“This kiosk is not just a business for me; it represents a new chapter after years of dedication,” the operator said.
The company added that sustainability measures have been integrated into the kiosk’s operations, including the use of recyclable cups and responsible waste management practices.
Nestlé Nigeria noted that the expansion into transport hubs forms part of its broader strategy to deepen everyday consumer engagement while supporting local entrepreneurship across communities.
