Damola Aiyeola at 60: RSSOSA President Hails Life of Faith, Family and Service
The National President of the Remo Secondary School Old Students Association (RSSOSA), Aare Adetola Emmanuelking, has celebrated the National Vice President of the Association’s United Kingdom Branch, Mr. Damola Aiyeola, on his 60th birthday, describing him as a God-fearing family man, committed leader and exemplary old student.
Emmanuelking, in a special birthday message, said Aiyeola’s six decades had been marked by faith, purpose, family, leadership and dedicated service to humanity and his alma mater.
He commended the celebrant for demonstrating a deep understanding of the responsibility that comes with belonging to an old students’ association, particularly through his contributions to the welfare of students and development of Remo Secondary School.
The RSSOSA President praised Aiyeola’s leadership of the UK Branch, stressing that his contribution went beyond occupying an executive position to actively using his platform to improve the lives of students and support the growth of the institution.
He particularly highlighted several interventions carried out by the RSSOSA UK Branch under Aiyeola’s leadership, describing them as practical demonstrations of the obligation of old students to give back to the institution that shaped them.
Among the initiatives, he said, were the renovation of UK-adopted classrooms at Remo Secondary School, donation of learning materials to outstanding students in both the Senior and Junior sections, as well as support and funding for holiday tutorials for SS3 students.
According to him, the tutorial programme was further strengthened through the provision of textbooks and sanitary pads to students, thereby addressing both their academic and personal welfare needs.
Emmanuelking said the interventions had demonstrated that alumni leadership could be a powerful instrument for positive change when driven by genuine commitment and a sense of responsibility.
He described Aiyeola as a leader whose influence was reflected in the positive impact being recorded by the RSSOSA UK Branch.
He said: “Alumni leadership is ultimately about service, responsibility and giving back. The story of the RSSOSA UK Branch under Aiyeola’s watch is one of old students turning their affection for their alma mater into measurable interventions that improve the lives of present-day students.”
As Aiyeola marks his diamond jubilee, Emmanuelking prayed that God would continue to strengthen and preserve him while granting him wisdom and grace for greater responsibilities.
He also prayed for divine health, protection, prosperity, renewed strength and continued fulfilment for the celebrant, while asking God to bless and preserve his family.
The RSSOSA President further prayed that Aiyeola’s years ahead would be more fruitful and impactful, with greater opportunities to contribute to the advancement of RSSOSA, its UK Branch and Remo Secondary School.
