First Bank of Nigeria Limited and Visa Inc. have expanded their premium card offerings with the launch of the Visa Signature card, a product tailored for Nigeria’s affluent customers seeking exclusive lifestyle, travel and global payment benefits.
The newly launched Visa Signature card is designed for high-net-worth individuals, top executives, business owners and frequent international travellers, offering access to premium experiences, global merchant privileges and priority services through Visa’s worldwide network.
According to the bank, cardholders will enjoy preferential rates and curated offers across partner airlines, hotels, merchants and travel destinations globally, while also benefiting from seamless domestic and international transaction capabilities.
Speaking on the development, Chuma Ezirim, Group Executive, eBusiness & Retail Products at FirstBank, said the initiative reflects the bank’s commitment to meeting the evolving lifestyle expectations of its premium customers.
He stated that the Visa Signature card was created to provide customers with exclusive experiences, global connectivity and lifestyle privileges that align with their international outlook.
Also commenting, Andrew Uaboi, Vice President and Cluster Head, West Africa at Visa, described Nigeria’s affluent consumers as some of the continent’s most globally connected spenders.
He noted that the Visa Signature product was specifically designed to offer the depth of benefits and broad global acceptance expected by premium customers, adding that Visa was pleased to collaborate with FirstBank in bringing the offering to the Nigerian market.
The launch further strengthens FirstBank’s premium banking portfolio, which already includes Visa Infinite, Visa Gold, Naira Credit and Visa Prepaid cards serving millions of customers across retail, online and cross-border payment channels.
Eligible customers can apply for the Visa Signature card through FirstBank branches nationwide or via their relationship managers.
