Military Collaboration: GOC 81 Division Reaffirms Commitment to Enhanced Synergy with Nigerian Air Force

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 81 Division, Nigerian Army, Major General Farouk Mijinyawa, has reiterated the Division's commitment to sustained cooperation with the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) and other security agencies to secure lives and property across Lagos and Ogun States. 

Major General Mijinyawa gave the assurance while receiving the Air Officer Commanding (AOC) Logistics Command, Nigerian Air Force, Air Vice Marshal Abubakar Suleh, who paid a courtesy visit to the Division's Headquarters in Victoria Island, Lagos, on December 3, 2025.

Major General Mijinyawa attributed the prevailing calm and relative peace within the Division's Area of Responsibility to the already robust synergy existing among the Armed Forces.

He emphasized the strategic importance of Lagos and Ogun States as major commercial hubs, stressing that continued and sustained collaboration among security agencies is crucial for: Maintaining peace and stability.

Attracting investors and Boosting economic activities in the region.

The GOC assured that the Nigerian Army would continue to collaborate and share ideas with the Nigerian Air Force to maintain the current state of peace and security. He also congratulated Air Vice Marshal Suleh on his recent appointment.

Earlier in his remarks, Air Vice Marshal Suleh stated that the purpose of his visit was specifically to strengthen existing cooperation between the Nigerian Army and the Nigerian Air Force.

He reaffirmed the Nigerian Air Force's unwavering commitment to providing essential assistance to the 81 Division, which includes:Air Support and Logistics

 Other forms of assistance aimed at enhancing the Division's operational effectiveness and overall contribution to national security.

The visit concluded with the signing of the Visitors' Book, exchange of souvenirs, and a group photograph, formally underscoring the commitment to enhanced synergy between the two security agencies.
