ICPC Joins Customer Service Week, Chairman Urges Staff to Embrace “Mission Possible” Against Corruption

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) marked the 2025 Global Customer Service Week with a symposium held at its headquarters, focusing on the theme Mission Possible” to reaffirm its commitment to excellence and integrity.
Delivering the keynote address on behalf of the Chairman, Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, SAN, Mr. Clifford Oparaodu emphasized the Commission’s dedication to ridding Nigeria of corruption through lawful enforcement and preventive measures.
Dr. Aliyu commended the ICPC's Reforms and SERVICOM Unit for organizing the event and for their crucial role in ensuring quality service delivery to all stakeholders. He highlighted the unit’s achievements, including:
Implementing the ICPC’s service charter; monitoring procurement processes; conducting customer satisfaction surveys and handling complaints with professionalism.
The Chairman also acknowledged the continuous partnership with the SERVICOM Office, citing previous successful collaborations on sensitizing staff and launching the service charter.
Speaking directly to the theme, Dr. Aliyu stressed that while the fight against corruption is challenging, it remains achievable through shared purpose and collective action. “The fight against corruption is not for ICPC alone but for every Nigerian who has the interest of the nation at heart,” he stated. With integrity, hope, and a commitment to continuous improvement, we can turn our mission into a possible reality.”
In a goodwill message, the Acting National Coordinator of SERVICOM, represented by Mr. Mfon Mfon, lauded the ICPC’s focus on citizen-centered service delivery, particularly through improved complaint resolution and digital reporting platforms.
Mr. Mfon described ICPC staff who handle public petitions and inquiries as frontline heroes” who embody the spirit of the 2025 theme, noting that their dedication promotes accountability and public trust.
The symposium served to underscore ICPC’s commitment to fostering a culture of ethical conduct and excellence, reaffirming that a corruption-free Nigeria is indeed possible with determination and collaboration.
