Fidelity Bank to Host Webinar on Tackling Public Sector Revenue Challenges
Fidelity Bank Plc has announced plans to organise a high-level stakeholders’ webinar aimed at addressing revenue generation and transparency challenges in Nigeria’s public sector.
The virtual session, scheduled for Tuesday, March 24, 2026, is themed “Digital Fiscal Transparency: Unlocking Sub-national Opportunities for International Partners.” It is expected to bring together public sector leaders, development partners, heads of government agencies and parastatals, as well as financial experts to discuss practical strategies for improving revenue administration and accountability.
According to the bank, the webinar will focus on how public institutions can strengthen internally generated revenue, enhance fiscal transparency, and adopt smarter digital systems to improve collections, monitoring, and financial oversight.
Speaking ahead of the event, the Divisional Head, Public Sector, Fidelity Bank Plc, Richard Madiebo, noted that many government institutions are currently under pressure to do more with limited resources, making efficient revenue management more important than ever.
He explained that the session would highlight the role of digital platforms in promoting structured invoicing, seamless collections, payment automation, transparent contractor payments, and real-time monitoring of revenue performance.
Madiebo added that the initiative is part of the bank’s broader commitment to supporting public sector reforms and sub-national development through innovative financial solutions.
The webinar will also examine common challenges faced by government institutions, including revenue leakages, fragmented collection channels, weak reconciliation processes, and the need for more transparent, technology-driven financial systems.
Interested participants are invited to register for the webinar through the bank’s official registration portal.
