UBA Rewards Customers with Over ₦400m Anniversary Bonus
United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc has rewarded thousands of loyal customers with more than ₦400 million in anniversary bonuses under its flagship UBA Bumper Account, reinforcing its commitment to promoting savings and rewarding customer loyalty.
The bank said the payout is one of the largest loyalty rewards distributed since the introduction of the UBA Bumper Account. Eligible customers received cash bonuses directly into their accounts as part of the account's anniversary reward scheme.
The UBA Bumper Account is designed to encourage disciplined savings by rewarding customers who maintain and grow their savings over time. Customers who meet the eligibility requirements receive a cash bonus on each account anniversary.
Speaking on the milestone, UBA's Head of Retail Products, Tomiwa Sotiloye, said the initiative reflects the bank's commitment to recognising customers who trust UBA with their financial goals.
"At UBA, we believe customer loyalty deserves meaningful recognition. Every bonus paid is our way of saying 'thank you' to customers who continue to trust us with their financial aspirations. Surpassing the ₦400 million milestone reflects our commitment to creating products that not only help customers save but also reward them in tangible ways," he said.
Sotiloye added that prospective and existing customers can open a UBA Bumper Account through the bank's mobile app, USSD code *919#, online platform, or by visiting any UBA branch to qualify for future anniversary rewards.
UBA's Group Head of Brands, Marketing and Corporate Communications, Alero Ladipo, said the product reflects the bank's customer-first approach.
According to her, crediting over ₦400 million directly into customers' accounts demonstrates UBA's commitment to rewarding responsible financial behaviour while delivering value through innovative banking solutions.
The UBA Bumper Account is one of the bank's flagship retail savings products, offering savings benefits, digital banking convenience and loyalty rewards as part of UBA's strategy to deepen financial inclusion and encourage a stronger savings culture.
