In a thrilling kickoff to the GTCO Food and Drinks Festival 2024, children and their families were treated to an unforgettable experience at the first master class, focusing on the art of baking cookies, muffins, and popsicles. Anchored by the renowned Chef Uche Annie, who flew in from the USA, the event captivated attendees with an array of delectable treats and invaluable culinary lessons.

Parents, guardians, and educators alike gathered with eager youngsters to partake in this educational and fun-filled event. Chef Uche, boasting a wealth of experience in the culinary world, expertly guided the children through the intricacies of baking, sharing tips, techniques, and secrets honed throughout her illustrious career.

From mixing batter to decorating finished products, each step was met with excitement and enthusiasm from the budding bakers in attendance. As the aroma of freshly baked goods filled the air, smiles abounded, creating an atmosphere of joy and camaraderie.

The master class not only provided valuable culinary skills but also fostered creativity and teamwork among the young participants. It served as a testament to the festival's commitment to promoting culinary education and appreciation among all age groups.

The occasion was heralded with a Kids Baking Masterclass which was handled by Chef Uche Annie Ugoka.

Chef Uche made it so interesting and interactive for the attendees to fully participate most especially the children whose class it was, there was no dull moment.

Chef Uche who said she’s a mother of two beautiful girls, with the assistance of little chefs (children from the audience), made Cookies, Muffins and Popsicles to the delight of the children. There were lots of cookies goodie bags that was given to the children.

There were also questions asked by the children and answers given while the demonstrations was going on. From the faces of the children, it was evident that they really enjoyed the class and had fun too.

Tomorrow is day 2 of the 3days event, promising to be as interesting as today’s with 5 chefs taking centre stage in their own master classes. There were lots of different types of food, snacks, drinks etc at the venue to satisfy everyone’s taste and cravings.
